Dining Room Dunzo

Update: I forgot to link the stencil I used, which is here at istencils.com. I really enjoy their designs, but the white stencil makes it slightly harder to work with on the floor than the clear ones at Cutting Edge Stencils, which is what I used on the downstairs hallway. It is much easier to match the pattern using the clear mylar type of stencils. Cutting Edge often (every 2 months) runs 20% off discounts, join their mailing list to get the codes if you are interested in doing a project like this. I have no affiliation with either stencil-seller, and they both make good stuff. There are probably more out there as well if you can't find a pattern you like with those two.

It's finally done!! Many layers of sealant are drying as I type. I put six coats of poly over the top to help protect the painting from claws and stilettos, both of which Pharaoh has been known to rock on occasion.

The design spans almost the entire dining half of the room, and will hopefully create the feeling of a separate space. Here's the before, during, and afters of four months worth of work if you want to make a flipbook:

More if you clicky and want to see 'em!
