Plenty of room at the Hotel Esmeralda (such a lovely place)

To offset the stir-crazy that is building up here, my mother and i took a walk over to the ruins of the Hotel Esmeralda next door. I wrote about it in 2014,  there are additional photos there if abandoned places are your jam. It has many new murals, a lot of which were painted by people visiting the units next to us.

Im not sure why anyone would choose to graffiti "kale chips", but I suspect its a health-conscious response to this mural which is on the stairs above.

This place often gets called "the Ghost Hotel". RIP Harold Ramis (director and star Ghostbusters) indeed. Egon Spengler could totally have cleared this place of paranormal activity. And with it, the loud weekend parties, I hope.

This is looking back at our complex from the roof.
